|Action: changed name from "Pellaea mucronata var. californica" to "Pellaea mucronata var. mucronata
| ||"The ternate basal pinnules of the lower pinnae show clearly that this photo depicts Pellaea mucronata ssp. mucronata. The more "High Sierran" subspecies, P. mucronata ssp. californica, has never clearly been demonstrated to have ternate pinnules, or "bird's feet" if you will.|
