| Reviewer's comments: | | | "Your (wonderful!) photo shows clearly the black head and narrow yellow abdominal stripe characteristic of this species. The *real* expert to consult on this would be Robbin Thorp at U.C. Davis, e-mail rwthorp@ucdavis.edu. The bees in your other two photos are probably B. vandykei (for the yellow-headed one) and B. crotchii (for the black-headed one with reddish brown at the tip)." |
