plant community Desert Scrubnotes I believe there may be an error in the description of Nemacladus glanduliferus in the Jepson Manual. They state that the LOWER (two-lobed) lip of the corolla is ciliate, while Munz describes the UPPER (three-lobed) lip of the corolla as the ciliate lip. Munz also describes the (white) upper three lobes as being purplish at tips. Munz' description is in concert with this specimen. NOTE (7/5/08): Correspondence with Nancy Morin (the Jepson Manual author for Nemacladus) indicates that this is N. g. var. orientalis, due to the relatively zygomorphic corolla.camera Shot at f5.6, 1/250 with a Canon D60 with 50mm Canon Compact Macro lens.
