  • notes   This robber fly was enjoying a little damselfly shake. I observed many robber flies feeding on damselflies near edge of the reservoir. The damsel was a perfect prey as it is a feeble flyer and the robber an effective predator. The numbers of robber flies was astounding. I could not believe how approachable they were. I have not had much success capturing images of these organisms in the past. There were also some smaller species of robber flies present but I was not able to take any images of this species.
