  • notes   Apostolepis cearensis (Serpentes: Colubridae: Elapomorphini) was formerly known from the semi-arid Caatinga. However, recent samplings (H. Zaher, unpublished data) have recorded this taxon in Piauí, in the Cerrado domain. Many other snakes and lizards once considered endemic to the Caatinga have been found in the northeastern portion of the Cerrado.
