  • notes   This photo was taken on Mt. Davidson, San Francisco’s highest hill, where the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Natural Areas Program is currently restoring the area. Calamagrostis nutkaensis, is usually, but not always, found in wetlands. On Mt. Davidson, it grows near the top of the hill, where it gets plenty of water from fog drip.
