  • notes   Slo.: sivolistna žveplenjača - Habitat: light mixed wood, bushes; at the base of a moderately inclined mountain slope, south aspect; calcareous, skeletal, colluvial ground; partly in shade; exposed to direct rain; average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 6-8 deg C, elevation 545 m (1.790 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: on a pile of heavily rotten trunks of Picea abies cut to pieces and covered by a thick layer of mosses. - Comments: Growing in a group of three pilei. Pileus diameter 2.8–3.1 cm, stipe length 6-8.5 cm, diameter 4.5–6 mm: stipe rather tough, elastic, hollow, fibrous, distinctly reddish at the base, waxy appearance near the gills; taste not tested, smell faint, mushroomy, on earth (?); SP too faint to be visible. - Spores brown, smooth, thick-walled, with germ pore. Dimensions: (6,7) 6,9 - 8,7 (10,1) × (4,3) 4,5 - 5,2 (6,1) cm, Q = (1,4) 1,45 - 1,7 (1,8), N = 30; Me = 7,6 × 4,9 cm; Qe = 1,5. Olympus CH20, NEA 100x/1.25, magnification 1.000 x, oil (spores); NEA 40x/0.65, magnification 400x (pleuro-chrysocystidia), in water, fresh material.
