El lugar esta a 1400 m de elevacion; otros miembros de esta especie fueron hallados en un lugar cercano a 1600 m de elevacion, lo que constituye el reporte mas alto para la especie. La fotografia es parte del proyecto PILA-Darwin: Herramientas basicas para el manejo del Parque Internacional La Amistad ('Darwin Initiative', numero de beca 15/027: 'Baseline tools for management in P.I. La Amistad (Costa Rica/Panama)'), del Museo de Historia Natural de Londres y la Universidad de Costa Rica. //// This female S. phaeota was active at night, in a pasture land, on a Xanthosoma plant (50 cm above the ground). The place is 1400 m elevational level; other individuals of that species were found in a nearby place about 1600 m elevational level (which is the highest report for S. phaeota). The picture is part of the PILA-Darwin Project ('Darwin Initiative' 15/027: 'Baseline tools for management in P.I.
