notes This pictograph depicts a hunt scene with a bison and a hunter using a bow and arrow. These images, created by Native Americans on exposures of Navajo Sandstone, are representative of the Fremont style. These pictographs are probably 900-1500 years old. Horseshoe Canyon is also referred to as Barrier Canyon.
