location Mallard Slough, Stikine River Area Mainland, Southeast Alaska (Southeastern Panhandle Borough, Alaska, US)family Ranidaehabitat this in a small pond near edge of Mallard Slough and Stikine River Area Tidal Flatsnotes This specimen is being held along a tape with inches and cm scales; it was taken in a baited wire-mesh funnel trap in a small pond along Mallard Slough; area is an expanse of Sedge (Carex) flats and coastal spruce-alder forest adjacent to tidal flats.
