plant community Chihuahuan Desert scrub at 2805' (855m)notes plants on a broad, gravelly ridge of platy Cretaceous limestone and shale. These pale creamy flowers touched with pinkish hue and vivid red centers may represent some degree of hybridization with H. denudatus, also found in the immediate vicinity.
