Diameters of knobcone pine range from 4" to 18" and hts. From 30 to 50". (estimates). Soil shallow and rocky of lava origins. Assoc. sp.: Scattered Arctostaphylos patula and Prunus virginiana (=Prunus demissa). Some black oak sprouts in area., T 40 N R 3 W Sec 27 Quad name: Dunsmuir. Quad number: 14.
