notes A red color form of Mimulus aurantiacus, grown from cuttings off a plant in the Santa Lucia Mountains (the cultivar is named 'Pimkolam' after the Native American name for Junipero Serra Peak, below which the mother plant was found). The mother plant was anomalous, as flowers of the many nearby plants were of the more common orangish color form.camera Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f11, 1/125, ISO 100 using a Canon 100mm macro lens.
