Close inspection reveals a four-lobed stigma, which distinguishes Oenothera from Camissonia, plus the latter do not have such large petals (in the southwest, anyway). I was unable to key the species, however, since the key requires seed capsules and a better idea of the size of the flower parts. No species description I can find in either The Jepson Manual or Arizona Flora mentions one with white petals with yellow centers, as shown here.

This image was previously correctly identified as an Oenothera, but when one knows the geography and the leaf features rather than key diagnostic features it is possible to identify
