Nemophila menziesii var. atomaria |
Nemophila menziesii (Baby Blue Eyes) | This is not var. or ssp. atomaria, which the Jepson Manual states has black dots extending from the center to the margins of the petals (and which is white or either very pale blue). This could be either the species (var. menziesii) or var. integrifolia. Since the key characters which distinguish these are not discernible (larger flowers for the former, fewer lobes on the lower leaves for the latter), it is safest just to call this N. menziesii. |
