New Jepson eFlora treatment 2022 restricts Sedum obtusatum to Sierra Nevada and adds Sedum kiersteadiae (and other new species) to the CA flora. The yellow widely spreading petals and relatively loose rosettes are characteristic of S. kiersteadiae.
