Annotation Notes
06/30/2014 D. Robert A. Watson  taxon changed Datura inoxia (Jimsonweed) Datura wrightii
This represents Datura wrightii in which the style is longer than the anthers and the corolla rim is not "ten" toothed. Datura inoxia is a native of southeastern Mexico, it is never found wild in California, only in gardens. The D. inoxia discrepancy is the result of Sesse & Mociño’s interpretation of the later named "Datura meteloides," which was deCandolle’s faulty attempt to name D. wrightii.
