Trifolium monanthum var. monanthum |
Trifolium variegatum var. geminiflorum | This is the "real" T. v. g. In the current edition of TJM the name is misapplied to small forms and early developmental stages of T v. var. variegatum . DNA analysis done on plants matching this photo (also from Plumas Co.) show it to differ significantly from var. variegatum. Differs from T. monanthum in being annual and having dark calyx tips and brightly colored flower-tube |
