07/20/2015 Randall Morgan  taxon changed Trifolium albopurpureum (Rancheria Clover) Trifolium griseum
One of several related species being resurrected from synonymy based on DNA, morphology and range. Based on T. olivaceum var. griseum Jeps. Common in S. Cal. Spreading hair on peduncles is diagnostic, but also the silvery-gray roundish heads, very short calyx tube, and easily visible but not showy flowers.
